My husband and I moved to Flagstaff, AZ in 2004. We spend most of our free time hiking, mountain biking, camping and traveling.
When not involved in the above-mentioned activities, I am enjoying a weekend of competitive dog agility. I have been competing in the sport since 1998. My oldest dog, a Labrador retriever named Buca, has just retired and passed the reins to my young border collie, Grit.
In addition to my passion for dog agility, I have a vested interest in canine nutrition. My dogs need to be in the best possible physical condition to be competitive. This interest led me to Loretta Mayer’s lab. My Master’s project involves testing a nutraceutical for immune modulating effects in canines.
